Windows XP Dial Up Configuration

Before you start work on your settings, make sure to select the dial up number which is in your local callling area (no toll) to you. Use the form on the left to check the Vigord Internet Services dial up numbers available to you. Then follow the steps below to set up your configuration:

1. In your Windows Start menu, go to Control Panel.
2. Double click on Network Connections.
3. Click on Create a new connection under Network Tasks on the left.
4. The New Connection Wizard opens. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next.
5. Select Set up my connection manually and click Next.
6. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.
7. Type Vigord as the ISP Name and click Next.
8. Enter the phone number you wish to dial and click Next.
9. Enter your username including the network you belong to, such as username@vigord.net or username@vigord1.net or username@vigord2.net and your password twice. Click Next.
10. Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and click Finish.
11. To connect double click newly created Vigord icon on your desktop.
12. Verify that information on the screen is correct and click Dial.
