Windows 98 Dial Up Configuration

Before you start work on your settings, make sure to select the dial up number which is in your local callling area (no toll) to you. Use the form on the left to check the Vigord Internet Services dial up numbers available to you. Then follow the steps below to set up your configuration:

1. Double click My Computer icon on your desktop.
2. Double click Dial-Up Networking.
3. Double click Make New Connection.
4. Enter Vigord in the name field and click Next.
5. Type the area code and the phone number you wish to dial and click Next.
6. You are now finished with the setup wizard. Click Finish.
7. To connect double click newly created Vigord icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder in My Computer. Enter your username including the network you belong to, such as username@vigord.net or username@vigord1.net or username@vigord2.net and your password. Make sure Save password is checked then click Connect.
8. Additionally, you can create a shortcut to the Vigord icon on your desktop, just right click on it and select Create Shortcut. Drag it to the desktop if necessary.
